Abstract

The Aras river and other rivers in the Moghan region have played an important role in the formation of prehistoric sites. Although the Moghan plain has not received much attention in terms of archeological activities so far, While extensive scientific activities have been carried out in the Urmia Lake basin and the Moghan Plain region has been neglected in this regard. Yatag tepesi site is another prehistoric site of Germi Moghan that has been scientifically researched. The main purpose of this article is to introduce the pottery traditions and to determine the chronological sequence of the study area. In order to achieve more detailed studies of cultural relations with other regions and to determine the chronological table in the study area in the chalcolithic period, the following questions are raised; According to the study of cultural data, including the pottery data of the study area, which cultural period (s) does it belong to? The main hypothesis in this regard can be said that the area is related to the Middle chalcolithic and late chalcolithic periods. According to the archeological data obtained, with which geographical areas does the study area have more cultural connections Leading writing is done with field method and descriptive-analytical approach. As a final result and considering the specificity of pottery and other cultural data, we can mention the cultural connections with other northwestern regions and its place in the chronological table of northwestern Iran and in terms of historical chronology is equal to 3700/3600-4500 BC
