This article introduces and examines the marks engraved on a collection of 240 (Siglo) coins of the "Achaemenid Empire" which are kept in the treasury of Mazandaran province. The investigation of the police personnel indicates that this collection was obtained by illegal diggers near the port of Assaluye. From this collection 240 coins were selected for study. The results of preliminary studies revealed different types of coins that were minted between 522 BC and 338 BC related to the 7 Kings of Achaemenians in a period of 184 years. Out of 240 selected coins, 195 coins have a sign. Some coins have only 1 sign while some have 9 signs. A total of 567 signs have been identified and documented on ranging from simple shapes such as a circle to more complex designs. Archaeologists have come up with various uses for signs and symbols. These include the mint sign, Carat verification, coin weight approval, and a sign of a review by financial officials for the flawless use of old coins in the economic cycle. But do these uses also include the coins of the "Achaemenid Kings"? If so, why are some coins unmarked? This article, introducing the signs and their location on the coins, has devoted a topic to the issue of transfer of concepts by the symbols, the result of which is the possibility of hidden and cryptic messages in the coins of the Achaemenid Kings.
