Copyright Retention by the Author
Authors retain the copyright and publishing rights to their works published in the journal without limitation. This approach stands in contrast to models that require authors to transfer full copyright to the publisher.
License for Use
All content is published under the CC BY 4.0 license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/deed.en). This Attribution license allows the public to share or redistribute the work, provided that proper attribution is given to the original authors and the journal.
Licenses for Third‑Party Works
If an article includes material (such as figures, tables, images, or text excerpts) that has been previously published elsewhere or created by a third party, authors are required to obtain written permission from the copyright holder in both print and online formats before submitting the manuscript. Authors must ensure that the necessary rights are secured as follows:
Non‑exclusive right to republish the material in the article.
Right of print and electronic publication.
Right of worldwide publication in multiple languages.
Right to use the material for the entire lifespan of the work (no time limit on reuse).
Attribution and Citation
Proper attribution for all third‑party material must be included in the article. If an article is published open access but contains material for which the author does not have permission for open‑access reuse, this must be clearly stated in an explanatory note. This note should provide details of the original publication and specify that this particular section is not covered by the article's Creative Commons license. Since the journal is an academic publisher, it generally requires explicit permission or negotiation even for the reuse of material already under Creative Commons licenses.
Consequences of Failing to Obtain Permission
Any material submitted without clear evidence of permission will be assumed to be the authors' own work. Failure to obtain necessary permissions for copyrighted works may lead to significant publication delays, removal of that part from the final work, or other necessary actions.
Archiving and Digital Preservation
All articles published in this journal are digitally stored and maintained in the institutional archive of the University of Tehran and the National Library of Iran to ensure long‑term preservation and perpetual access to scholarly content. This process guarantees that the journal's research legacy is protected against technological changes and that researchers and libraries will continue to have uninterrupted access to the complete, final versions of published works in the future.
